The entry for this church in the German Wikipedia [https://de.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dorfkirche_Stralau] [accessed 2 February 2024] mentions a baptismal font made of limestone in the 15th century, or perhaps earlier, that was brought back into the church from the Märkischen Museum; the font consists of a cup-shaped basin raised on a squat base. Two baptismal dishes associated with this font are noted in the same source: one is inscribed with the donor's name, Elizabeth Kubitzen, widow of Knollin, and dated 29 August 1710, and is decorated with the Annunciation to Mary; it is located in the Märkischen Museum ["Aus dem Märkischen Museum wurde die spätgotische achteckige Kalksteintaufe in Pokalform zurückgeholt. The second baptismal dish [cf. ImagesArea] is decorated with the Annunciation to Mary and bears two inscriptions; the one round the centre scene in Gothic lettering probably part of the original work by the craftsman who made it; the second inscription was added on the oyer 'lip' of the dish and bears the date and names of the donors: 1646 and PETER SCVULTZE VND SEINE HAVSFRAV [...]; it is reported in the collections of the Märkischen Museum; one source gives the date of the dish as "um 1500".
