Listed and illustrated by Hans-Peter Bodenstein, in obiter dictum Heft Nr. 28 4/2012 [https://www.ndrom.de/taufstein-in-der-kirche-klietz/] [accessed 31 January 2024]. The entry for this church in the German Wikipedia [https://de.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dorfkirche_Klietz] [accessed 31 January 2024] mentions a round goblet-shaped Romanesque baptismal font with a round arch-head frieze all around the basin sides; it was brought here from the demolished church in Brettin ["Von der Austattung ist eine runde, kelchförmige romanische Taufe mit dünnem Bogenfries zu erwähnen, die aus der abgebrochenen Kirche in Brettin hierher gebracht"]. The font consists of a roughly hemispherical basin decorated with mouldings below the upper rim and the frieze of round arch-heads (16) mentioned above, raised on a moulded round pedestal base. No cover present but the upper rim side of the basin shows evidence of damage where anchoring for a cover was secured [NB: it is possible that the pedestal base not be the original].
