Additional Comments: composite font? (the hemispherical basin and the hexagonal base appear to be a made-up font)
Font Notes:
Listed and illustrated by Hans-Peter Bodenstein in obiter dictum Heft Nr. 5 (2014) [https://www.ndrom.de/romanischer-taufstein-in-jeeben/] [accessed 30 January 2024]. The entry for this church in the German Wikipedia [https://de.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dorfkirche_Jeeben] [accessed 30 January 2024] mentions a chalice-shaped Romanesque baptismal font consisting of a rounded basin on a hexagonal base in its original position by the west gallery ["Am ursprünglichen Aufstellungsort vor der Westempore steht die steinerne romanische Taufe in Kelchform mit einer Taustabprofil zwischen dem sechseckigen Fuß und der runden Kuppa"]. [NB: the Wikipedia entry gives "Georg Dehio: Handbuch der Deutschen Kunstdenkmäler. Sachsen Anhalt I. Regierungsbezirk Magdeburg. Deutscher Kunstverlag, München/Berlin 2002, ISBN 3-422-03069-7, S. 446–447" as reference]. [NB: the re-tooled(?) hemispherical basin does not seem to be a match for the hexagonal base, or viceversa -- is it a composite?]. No cover present.
