The entry for this church in the German Wikipedia [https://de.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dorfkirche_Storkau] [accessd 29 January 2024] mentions a baptismal font in this church, made of granite ca 1250, but the base is a later replacement ["Die Granittaufe in runder Kelchform stammt noch aus der Zeit um 1250; der Fuß wurde ergänzt"]. Described and illustrated in Hans-Peter Bodenstein's Taufsteine in der Pfarrkirche St. Maria und Laurentius zu Storkau [od10.pdf] [accessed 29 January 2024]; Dodenstein's article notes that whereas Georg Dehio's Handbuch der Deutschen Kunstdenkmäler. Sachsen Anhalt I. Regierungsbezirk Magdeburg. Deutscher Kunstverlag, München/Berlin 2002, S. 914, gives the material as granite and the date ca. 1230; Herman Giesau's Die Kunstdenkmale der Provinz Sachsen, Kreis Stedan land (1933) gives the material as sandstone.
