A communication to BSI from Pol Herman (e-mail of 20 August 2023) informs: "Der Taufstein ist aus Rotmarmor und eine Arbeit des Berchtesgadener Steinmetzen Franz Keimbhofer von 1658/59." The present font consists of a roughly hemispherical basin decorated with a ribbed pattern in round arches, raised on a baluster-type square pedestal base. The wooden cover tapering in towerd the top and decorated with scrolls on the sides, has a figural finial with John the Baptist (?) holding a processional cros, with a lamb biting the edge of his tunic.
