Baptismal font noted and illustrated in Mertes & Bourgeois (1965): a round baptismal font made of arkose was found in the churchyard in 1960 and was restored to the church interior; its measurements were: 79 cm in height; 89 cm exterior diameter; 37 cm cm in depth [NB: depth may mean height of the basin or depth of its interior]; evidence of anchorings present on the basin. Alain Erlande-Brandenburg's L'église de Saint-Jacques à Fosse-sur-Salm [compte-rendu] in the Bulletin Monumental (1966 124-3 pp. 320-321) [https://www.persee.fr/doc/bulmo_0007-473x_1966_num_124_3_7709] [accessed 20 January 2024] writes about the church but does not mention the baptismal font. A baptismal font of stone in the Eglise Saint-Jacques [Fosse] is listed and illustrated in BALaT KIK-IRPA [https://balat.kikirpa.be/object/10106747] [accessed 20 January 2024]: "fonts baptismaux [...] roman [...] pierre [...] Date: 1001 (incertain) - 1100 (incertain) [...] hauteur: 78 cm, largeur: 67.5 cm, profondeur: 69.5 cm"[NB: is this the same object reported found in the cemetery in Mertes & Bourgeois [cf. supra]? -- the measurements do not appear to match]. Also listed and illustrated in BALaT KIK-IRPA [https://balat.kikirpa.be/object/10106752] [accessed 20 January 2024] is a later composite font in this church: "fonts baptismaux [...] pierre [...] Date: 1701 (incertain) - 1800 (incertain) [...] Base et couvercle en laiton plus récents."
