Font Notes:
A baptismal font imported from Gotland is noted and illustrated in Jadwiga Kuckzinska [Wpływ_wzorów_architektonicznych_na_.pdf] [accessed 18 January 2024], in Rczniki Humanistyczne. t. XXIII, 5, 1975 (p. 99-100 and fig. 12). The font is a characteritic example of a Paradise font: hemispherical basin with wide round arcade on thinn supports with stylised capital medallions; round pedestal base splaying towards the bottom. The old photograph shown in the 1975 source above shows parts of the font painted but a recent photograph [cf. ImagesArea] shows it clean now.
The entry for this church in Architektura średniowiecza i starożytności [https://medievalheritage.eu/pl/strona-glowna/zabytki/polska/malkocin-kosciol/] [accessed 18 January 2024] mentions a granite font -perhaps originally a quern - that is built into the lower south wall ["W dolnej partii tejże ściany znajduje się granitowa chrzcielnica, być może pierwotnie będąca żarnem"].
