The present baptismal font in this church is described as late-Baroque [ImagesArea].
A communicaton to BSI from Pol Herman (e-mail of 25 May 2023) includes a reference to a brief note by Joseph Buchkremer [1864-1949, architect and Domeister at Aachen] in Zeitschrift des Aachener Geschichtsvereins 42 (1921): 344, with reference to an earlier entry in ZAGV 39, p. 248, in which he mentions seven fragments found of a Mosan-type Romanesque font in Laurensberg. Reference to Buchkremer and the seven fragments is also made in Dietmar Kottmann's Der Laurensberger Kirchberg [https://extempore.org/wp-content/uploads/Kirchberg-Laurensberg.pdf] [accessed 1 January 2024], when Kottmann compares those fragments of a Romanesque font to other fonts in the Lower Rhine area, for instance namely the font at Aachen Minster and the one at Lüftelberg.
