Present baptismal font of 1513(?), about the same date as the 1516 re-building of the medieval church here ["1516 wurde nach dem Abbruch der alten Kapelle der Chorraum mit der Beichtkammer (die heutige Sakristei) dem Kirchenschiff angefügt. Das Taufbecken ist drei Jahre älter. Beide wurden vom selben Meister gefertigt"]. The font consists of an octagonal basin decorated with prominent cherub heads on each side, below an equally prominent moulding arrangement below the rim; the upper surface of the rim bears an inscription; the base has an octagonal upper half and a cruciform lower area with putto or cherub heads on scrolls on the four sides; flat octagonal plinth. The whole font is painted and guilded. The basin has a removable metal insert. [cf. BSI entry for Wiedensahl No. 1 for the earlier font now in the churchyard]
