Baptismal font of the 1920s incorporating four 12th-century(?) heads is listed in BALaT KIK-IRPA [https://balat.kikirpa.be/object/10120128] [accessed 29 December 2023]; the flour heads are dated in this source "1101-1200 : quatre têtes d'angle", whereas the rest of the font is described as "1922-1924 : la cuve et le pied style néo-roman par les Ateliers de Maredsous [...] hauteur: 128 cm". 'La chapelle romane Notre-Dame à Saint-Fontaine (Clavier)' by the Comité de Protection du Patrimoine de Saint-Fontaine (P.P.S.F.), Décembre 2017 notes and illustrates a wall-mounted holy-water stoup made of granite in the 17th-century, and a composite font in the porch; the font is modern, neo-Gothic, but incorporates four human heads at the angles, Romanesque, 12th-century ["La cuve et le pied, de style néo‐roman, furent taillés par les Ateliers de Maredsous en 1922‐1924 et quatre têtes d’angle romanes (XIIe siècle) y ont été apposées. Le couvercle est en laiton. – Cuve cylindrique entièrement refaite, cantonnée de quatre têtes masculines, de type cylindrique, reprises à la cuve primitive ; visages allongés, coiffés de toques plates ; yeux rapprochés, à pupille en forme d’amande saillante, cernés d’un bourrelet ; large nez triangulaire ; bouche à peine entaillée ; ni cheveux, ni oreilles ; autrefois ces têtes étaient amorties par une console à moulure en talon. Décor actuel inspiré du décor primitif : arcs presque carrés portés, aux extrémités de chaque panneau, par un pilastre lisse. Support primitif à une grosse colonne cantonnée de quatre colonnettes, renouvelé. ‐ Calcaire bleu de Meuse, à patine gris clair. ‐ Type des fonts de Wijshagen."
