The entry for this church in the Conseil général de Seine-et-Marne, Direction des archives, du patrimoine et des musées départementaux [Église-st-pierre-et-st-paul-darville.pdf] [accessed 26 December 2023] mentions the furnishings introduced between the 17th and 19th centuries, among which "bénitier, fonts baptismaux, chaire à prêcher, bancs et une armoire à bannières, qui a l’avantage de garder celle-ci encore en place". A baptismal font of the 16th century is listed in Palissy [ref.: PM77003492]: "Les fonts baptismaux se caractérisent par une petite cuve pour l'écoulement de l'eau baptismale et un couvercle en bois. Cuve d'un seul tenant à bord droit [...] 16e siècle [...] H = 85, d = 93 (total) ; h = 46, la = 21 (borne d'écoulement)", Illustrated in Mémoire [ref.: AP77W02357] [broken link, but the photograph from Mémoire is accessible through Wikimedia [https://commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/File:Arville_(Seine-et-Marne)_Médiathèque_du_patrimoine_et_de_la_photographie_6.jpg] [accessed 26 December 2023]; interestingly the 16th-century dating is quite likely wrong, as it may actually pertaing to the later modification of the original tub-shaped font, described there as "une petite cuve pour l'écoulement de l'eau baptismale" [cf. supra]; the font itself is quite likely 12th-century, the same date as the church itself, while the addition may well have been installed in the 16th century. The wooden cover is plain, flat and round, hinged in the middle.
