Baptismal font noted in Balter & Dubois (1941) and in D'Otreppe de Bouvette (1997). Tollenaere (1957) mentions the font at Sainlez as being made of 'arkose' and gives two possible dates for it: "viiie-ixe siècles ou xiiie siècle". Listed in BALaT KIK-IRPA [https://balat.kikirpa.be/object/10082245] [accessed 25 December 2023], after D'Otreppe de Bouvette, with restoration date betwen 1941 and 1960. The font consists of a roughly hemispheric basin decorated with two bands and a garland berween them, raised on a modern limestone base as part of its restoration; claims of an 8th-9th century date for the old basin may be unrealistic; the changes made to the basin in its 'restoration' include the partition of the inner basin in the manner of the later French fonts.
