Romanesque baptismal font of the 13th century noted in Kirchbau.de [https://www.kirchbau.de/300_datenblatt.php?id=80879&name=keiner] [accessed 24 December 2023] ["Romanischer Taufstein aus dem 13.Jahrhundert"]. The font consists of an octagonal basin with plain curved underbowl sides; it rests on a short moulded shaft at the centre, and on four double outer colonnettes with capitals and bases, on a plain octagonal lower base. The font cover is dome-shaped with ribbed sides; it appears modern. This font is not listed in Drake (2002). A communication to BSI by Pol Herman (e-mail of 16 April 2023) notes "Zimmermann includes it in his list of “Rheinische Gruppe aus Trachyt und Basaltlava“ [cf. ImagesArea for an image of the cited text, which describes the font as an octagonal basin with four outer double colonnettes with capitals and bases, made of 'Basaltlava' ca. 1230-1240, 92 cm in height] [NB: we have not been able to locate this reference].
