Font Notes:
The late-Gothic baptismal font in the new (1965) church is one of the furnishings brought over from the old church ["In het uniforme moderne interieur zijn een aantal kerkmeubelen van de oude kerk bewaard gebleven: de laatgotische stenen doopvont"] [source: Erfgoedvereniging lokale geschiedenis | heemkunde | cultuurtoerisme Pepijn@Landen] [https://www.ghklanden.be/ezemaal-1.html] [accessed 21 December 2023]. It is listed and illustrated in BALaT KIK-IRPA [https://balat.kikirpa.be/object/2612] [accessed 21 December 2023]: "doopvont [...] Date: 1700 (ca) - 1799 (ca) [...] hoogte: 88 cm"; a rather shallow basin with moulded sides, raised on a modern concrete pillar and topped with a stepped dome of copper. [NB: outside the church is a stone object of interest [cf. ImagesArea] that may incorporate part(s) of an earlier font than the one inside, but we have no other information on it]. A communication to BSI from Pol Herman (e-mail of 7 April 2023) notes: "Outside the church stands a water basin, which rests on the base of an ancient pillar made of Mosan limestone. It is not known whether this object ever served as a baptismal font. It is not in KIK-IRPA".
