A composite object listed in BALaT KIK-IRPA [tps://balat.kikirpa.be/object/16404] [accessed 21 December 2023] is dated 1971 for the basin and "1501 - 1600" for the base; the church is no longer in sacred use; the location of the fontis given as unknown ["Kerk is gedesacraliseerd, localisatie doopvont onbekend." A communication to BSI from Pol Herman (e-mail of 7 April 2023) informs of the chnges and exchanges between the village of Overlaar three hamlets (Groot-Overlaar, Klein-Overlaar and Nieuw-Overlaar) and Mulk, itself a hamlet of Nieuw-Overlaar or Tienen, depending on the time period. Supposedly the composite object above is anticipated to find a place in the chapel at Mulk, now renamed "Sint-Theobalduskapel" although originally it was known as "chapelle du Jésus-Christ, du Saint-Esprit ou du Rédempteur", according to Paul Dewalhens' Saint Thibaut à Mulk, in Le Folklore Brabançon, No. 159, Septembre 1963, p. 308-320 [http://www.echarp.be/fb/fb159.pdf] [accessed 21 December 2023]. Pol Herman (ibid.) further adds that the 17th-century supposed font base "doesn't look like the base of a baptismal font, but rather of a cross or funerary monument". He also notes that Sint-Jozef Kerk has been withdrawn from worship (August 2020), and the primary school De Toverwijzer will move into it. The 'baptismal font' will be transferred to the Sint-Theobalduskapel (= Diethald, Thiébout) or “chapel of Munk”. This chapel is currently used as a regional heritage depot for archaeologists and for the Tienen heritage society. The building dates from the 14th century (1355?)."
