Font Notes:
Baptismal font buried in the church in 1918 and restored in 1924, as per Palissy [ref.: PM62000901]: "Fonts baptismaux [...] Grès [...] Date: 1555 [...] Ensevelis sous l'église en 1918, retrouvés en 1924". Illustrated in Mémoire [ref.: AP62W01850]. According to one source [cf. ImagesArea] the baptismal font survived the destruction of the church in WWI, and was unearthed among the ruins of the bell tower; when the church was re-built the old font was installed in the new church. The font consists of an octagonal basin of two volumes, the date 1555 carved on one of thesides of the lower one; it is raised on an octagonal pedestal base decorated with a centre-ring moulding of the same shape; the lower base is also octagonal and moulded. There is a low-pyramidal cover on the font.
