The entry for this church in Kirchspiel Geithainer Land [https://www.kirche-geithain.de/kirche-niedersteinbach/] [accessed 12 December 2023] mentions the old baptismal font in the rectory garden ["Der riesige alte romaniche Taufstein steht hgeute noch im Pfarrgarten Niedersteinbach"], and illustrates also the baptismal font in use [cf. ImagesArea], located in the chancel of the parish church. The font inside the church consists of an octagonal basin with plain vertical sides, the bottom corners decorated with stop or spur motifs, on a broad square pedestal base with chamfered corners. Metal low-pyramidal cover, octagonal, with a metal and glass(?) finial.
