The entry for this church in Kirchenkreisamt Hersfeld-Rotenburg [https://www.kirchenkreis-hef-rof.de/gemeinden/gemeinden-a-z/item/4500-ev-martin-luther-kirchengemeinde-in-wildeck-gemeindeteil-bosserode-und-rassdorf.html] [accessed 10 December 2023] reports a baptismal font of 1619 from the previous church ["Taufstein aus der Vorgängerkirche von 1619"].. The font is listed in the DIO [Deutsche Inschriften Online] [DI 91, Hersfeld-Rotenburg, Nr. 314 (Sebastian Scholz und Rüdiger Fuchs), in: www.inschriften.net, urn:nbn:de:0238-di091mz14k0031407] [accessed 10 December 2023] as an octagonal font made of red sandstone with an inscription in raised script on one of the basin sides ["Jahreszahl auf einem achteckigen Taufstein aus rotem Sandstein. Die einzelnen Seiten des Beckens besitzen eingetiefte Felder, von denen eines die Inschrift in erhabener Schrift trägt"]. The DIO entry (ibid.) gives "Kemp, Kulturdenkmäler II 971" as reference.
