The Verbandsgemeinde Altenkirchen-Flammersfeld [https://www.vg-altenkirchen-flammersfeld.de/kirchen/ev-sankt-michel-kirche-flammersfeld] [accessed 10 December 2023] mentions a baptismal font of ca. 1100 in this church. A view of the font is captured in a video clip in Romanische Kirche Flammersfeld [https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eu9De-fkm9A] [accessed 10 December 2023], which also claims a ca. 1100 date for the font. both sources probably referring to the basin only, as the base appears to be a modern replacement. The Evangelischer Kirchenkreis Altenkirchen [https://www.vg-altenkirchen-flammersfeld.de/angebote-aus-der-region/sehenswuerdigkeiten/kircheib/pfarrkirche] [accessed 10 December 2023] mentions a Romanesque baptismal font still in use in this church ["ein alter romanische Taufstein wird heute noch genutzt"]. [NB: the dating, however, may need to be contested as the basin is hexagonal and of a design that could be easily described as Gothic, if not late-Gothic].
