The entry for this church in Historischerrundgangcalbe [http://www.historischerrundgangcalbe.keepfree.de/5stephanikirche.htm] [accessed 5 December 2023] reports a stone pulpit and baptismal font made by stone mason Urban Hachenberg of Aderstedt near Bernburg ["Der Steinmetzmeister Urban Hachenberg aus Aderstedt bei Bernburg schuf 1561 den Taufstein und die steinerne Kanzel, die an die Stelle der alten holzernen trat"]. The entry for this church in the Kirchbauverein-Calbe [http://www.kirchbauverein-calbe.de/st-stephani/innenraum/index.html] [accessed 5 December 2023] notes the acquisition of a baptismal font along side that of the sandstone pulpit made by master mason Urban Hachenberg of Aderstedt; the base of the font bears the date 1561 and the initials of the councilors at the time ["Gemeinsam mit der Kanzel wurde auch ein neuer Taufstein erworben. Dieser wurde ebenfalls vom Baumeister und Steinmetz Urban Hachenberg aus Aderstedt bei Bernburg geschaffen. Der Fuß des Taufsteins trägt die Jahreszahl 1561 und die Initialen der damaligen Ratsherren. Sowohl der Taufstein als auch die Kanzel stellen die wichtigsten Kunstwerke der neuen (nachreformatorischen) Zeit dar"]. The entry for this church in YUMPU [https://www.yumpu.com/de/document/read/7620863/geschichte-der-st-stephani-kirche-in-calbe-an-der-saale] [accessed 5 December 2023] identifies one of the councilors as Peter Schroeder, and the text of the upper inscription on the basin as 1 John 5:7 ["This is he that came by water and blood, even Jesus Christ; not by water only, but by water and blood. And it is the Spirit that beareth witness, because the Spirit is truth. 7For there are three that bear record in heaven, the Father, the Word, and the Holy Ghost: and these three are one"]. The entry for this church in the Evangelische Kirchengemeinden Calbe (Saale) [https://evangelische-kirchengemeinde-calbe.de/kirchen-im-gemeindebereich/st-stephani/] [accessed 5 December 2023] reports a sandstone pulpit and baptismal font of the mid-16th century in this church. The entry for this church in the German Wikipedia [https://de.wikipedia.org/wiki/St.-Stephani-Kirche_(Calbe)] [accessed 5 December 2023] reports a baptismal font of 1561 in it. The font appears to be a composite at first sight; the octagonal basin, which bears two lines of inscription: the upper line appears to be from John 5:7 ["Denn drei sind, die das bezeugen: der Geist und das Wasser und das Blut"]; the lower one perhaps an epistle?]; the basin appears to be cracked through and repaired along the rounded underbowl; the base is also octagonal with a pronounced centre-ring moulding imitating crossing logs, a motif also found at the lower base; the lower base has scrolls and shields at the corners, two(?) of them with the inscriptions that identify the date and the initials of the town councilors.
