Scene Description: Source caption: "Evangelische Dorfkirche in Steinhagen, Westfalen, Deutschland. 1334 wurde Steinhagen von der Pfarre Dornberg unabhängig und es entstand diese Kirche. 1450 - 1460 erweitert (Altar), 1693 wurde das Taufbecken aufgestellt. 1901 Erweiterung der Kirche (Seitenschiffe, Altarraum, Sakristei). 2000 wurden vier neue Bronzeglocken angeschafft."

The entry for this church in the German Wikipedia [https://de.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dorfkirche_Steinhagen_(Westfalen)] [accessed 4 December 2023] reports a baptismal font of 1693 in it ["ein Taufstein von 1693"]. The font consists of a rather small octagonal basin bearing the dating inscription, a round baluster-shaped pedestal base decorated with four cherubs at 90-degree angles and some foliage, and amoulded round to octafonal lower base. No cover present.
