The entry for this church in the Erzdiözese Freiburg, Seelsorgeeinheit Oberer Hegau [https://www.kath-oberer-hegau.de/unsere-seelsorgeeinheit/engen/baufoerderverein-stadtkirche-engen/zur-geschichte-unserer-kirche/] [accessed 4 December 2023] reports a baptismal font of 1618 in it ["das Taufbecken von 1618"]. The font is chalice-shaped, consisting of an octagonal basin with a tapering rounded underbowl with a fluted pattern all around; octagonal base with a large square section at the centre-ring position with applied tiles bearing shields with coats of arms; splaying octagonal lower base. Octagonal dome of painted metal cover with ball finial/handle.
