Baptismal font listed and illustrated in Danmarks Kirker [http://danmarkskirker.natmus.dk/uploads/tx_tcchurchsearch/Aarhus_3525-3543_01.pdf] [accessed 23 November 2023]: "a Romanesque font of granite with an unusual carved portrayal of Christ", is made of coarse granite of uneven colours (grey for the base; reddish for the basin); basin decorated with an arcade below a double moulding, rope at the top, round below; round arches on short shafts with capitals; the arches contain a number of crudely rendered themes: a haloed Christ has raised arms with open palms; bird in profile, one wing up, the other down; quadruped in profile with long foliated tail over its back [NB: DK describes it as dog-like ["Hundeagtigt"] but the tail suggests a lion instead; other animals; round-to-square base with stops at the corners, which DK describes leaves. The DK entry reports the font was moved in 1925 from its position beneath the north side of the chancel arch to its present location inside the north-east of the chancel.
