The entry for this church in the Kirchengemeindelexikon 1800 Geschichten [https://kirchengemeindelexikon.de/einzelgemeinde/bantorf/] [accessed 22 November 2023] notes an octagonal Gothic font of the late-13th century: "Achteckiger gotischer Taufstein (wohl Ende 13. Jh.)" So does the German Wikipedia [https://de.wikipedia.org/wiki/St._Alexandri_(Luttringhausen)] [accessed 22 November 2023]: "Das achteckige Taufbecken ist vom Ende des 13. Jahrhunderts"]. The font consists of an octagonal basin with a rounded underbowl, a moulding around about the middle; raised on a pedestal base, also octagonal, with slightly splaying sides; atop the base is a patterned moulding. The font appears to have been relegated to the outside of the church for a [long?] time as seen in some old photographs [cf. ImagesArea]; more recent photographs show the font restored and located inside the church, in the chancel.
