Disused baptismal font noted and illustrated in ErfgoedPlus [AZU033000065] [https://www.erfgoedplus.be/details/KF.objecten.d59847] [accessed 15 November 2023]. The BEHEERSPLAN - BIJLAGE 3 LIJST ZEN-ERFGOED drawn up by ARAT architecten, Opgemaakt te Herentals | april 2018 - januari 2019 [575_Bijlage-3_Lijst-ZEN-erfgoed.pdf] [accessed 15 November 2023] reports on the baptismal font located behind the church, which, although disused now, it is highly recommended that it should be kept by the church as a valuable liturgical object; since it has no real monetary value, it should be included in the ZEN heritage ["Doopvont uit 1608. De doopvont achter de kerk is een waardevol element binnen de dorpskern van Edegem. Het element is al sinds lange tijd in onbruik, maar moet zeker bij de kerk behouden blijven. Ook aan dit voorwerp kan geen economisch nut worden toegekend, waardoor het kan worden opgenomen als ZEN-erfgoed."] [NB: the set of photographs of this object in the ZEN source above shows the 1608 octagonal basin on a later square pedestal base, but it also includes two views of what appears to be the original octagonal pedestal base [cf.
