Church Notes: -- church listed in Mérimée [ref.: PA00098991]: "Abside du 13e siècle avec nervures refaites au 15e. Trois travées du choeur présentent des voûtes d'arête en blocages. Deux travées flanquant celle au-dessous du clocher, ont été refaites au 15e siècle, avec la porte extérieure latérale. Clocher roman primitif sur la travée centrale. Nef voûtée en bois avec entraits et poinçons apparents. Fenêtres latérales ouvertes au 13e siècle. A l'extérieur, corniche avec modillons romans. Dans le pignon ouest, une fenêtre du 13e siècle a été établie à l'emplacement d'une ancienne baie plein cintre dont il existe encore le bandeau qui la couronnait. La nef est du 12e siècle, avec ouvertures du 13e. La porte placée sous le porche présente les caractéristiques du 13e siècle."

A holy-water stoup mounted on the north wall is listed in Palissy [ref.: PM45001279]: "Bénitier [...] Pierre : taillé [...] H = 50 ; l = 50 [...] Daté du 15e siècle ou du 16e siècle [...] Mur latéral nord". The stoup is polygonal in shape. with pronounced buttresses at the angles, the outer sides of the basin halved and decorated with floral and foliage motifs. The Archives Loiret have a drawing [Référence 2 FI 111 : 1 dessin (plan) : encre, aquarelle, en couleur ; 140 x 190 mm.] of an 18th-century font for this church [cf. ImagesArea]. The article 'Une église classée monument historique', in the 12 August 2013 issue of La République du Centre [https://www.larep.fr/sermaises-45300/actualites/une-eglise-classee-monument-historique_1655414/] [accessed 15 November 2023] mentions "des fonts baptismaux montés sur une ancienne colonne" without further detail of it. [NB: we have no information on the baptismal font of the medieval church here]
