Font Notes:
The entry for this church in the parish site [https://pfarrei-roetz.de/Kirchen-Kapellen/Pillmersried] [accessed 12 November 2023] mentions its baptismal font as a significant object in art-historical terms ["dem Taufbecken, sowie dem alten Opferstock für das „Antoniusbrot“ ist kunsthistorisch bedeutsam"]. The font is tub-shaped, made of stone, with a simple pattern decoration around the upper side; at first sight it has the appearance of a medieval object, but we have not been able to get a close look at to examine it for age details. It is mounted on a modern wooden wheeled platform. Octagonal cover resembling the roof on a hut; the finial is a scene of the Baptism of Christ.
