Noted and illustrated in the entry for this church in the German Wikipedia [https://de.wikipedia.org/wiki/Andreaskirche_(Altenschlirf)] [accessed 12 November 2023] as a baptismal font dated 1652 ["Das Taufbecken stammt aus dem Jahr 1652."]; the inscription also bears a name, Heinrich Leimberg(?); the sides of the basin are otherwise decorated with low-relief floral and foliage motifs; round patterned top of the pedestal base; the lower base is octagonal-to-square and has varied motifs on the sides. No cover present; a metal baptismal dish is in use.
