Church Notes: Romanesque church consecrated 1112; served as parish church under the Augustinians as off 1148; passed on to the Dominicans in 1226; expanded 1228-1241; destroyed in the 1241 Mongol invasion; re-built 1270-1330, and later continued until 1488; enlarged 1492+; much modified since

Baptismal font consisting of an octagonal basin, its panels separated by columns and decorated with a variety of themes: demi-figure with scroll, vine with grapes, double-headed eagle with scroll, etc., painted, much damaged and partially restored; stands on a pedestal base, also octagonal, nut quite likely a modern replacement. Metal font cover of low simple design.
