The entry for this church in the German Wikipedia [https://de.wikipedia.org/wiki/St._Dionysius_(Vlatten)] [accessed 6 November 2023] reports a late-Gothic baptismal font made of sandstone in it ["spätgotischer Taufstein aus Sandstein"]. There appears to be two baptismal fonts in this church; of the two one appears damaged and disused; it is of monolithic design but actually consist of two [sandstone?] blocks; it is octagonal from top to bottom; the upper half is moulded below a thick and much damaged upper rim round moulding; the basin sides are also very eroded and damaged; the bottom end of this upper block has capital-like ends for the attached columns below; the lower block has eight attached columns; the niches between the columns are blank. No cover present but it has metal anchoring evidence in the upper rim. This font has the general aspect of medieval furnishing, and may belong to one of the re-buildings of the earlier palace chapel here; it is very eroded and damaged, suggesting a long-time exposure to the elements. [NB: for the font in use cf. BSI entry for Vlatten No. 2]
