Skyrgámur's Odyssée islandaise Tome 2 (26 January 2017) [http://odyssee-islandaise-tome-2.eklablog.com/les-eglises-d-islande-c25755562/4] [accessed 5 November 2023] notes and illustrates a baptismal font consisting of an octagonal basin decorated with painted symbols and motifs, raised on an octagonal pedestal base and an octagonal lower base, both also painted; the basin has a metal baptismal dish. No cover present.
A 7 May 2015 issue of Archaeology Magazine of the Archaeological Institute of America published an article announcing the discovery of the lost Þykkvabær cloister, which housed Augustinian monks from 1168 to 1550 [NB: we have no information on its font].
