[NB: has the font cover lost its cross finial?]

This same source shows an early drawing of the font topped with a simpler cover: octagonal, plain and flat, with a cross-bar lock. The present wooden font cover is octagonal with graded mouldings and cross finial [NB: the finial appears lacking in one of the latest photographs [cf. ImagesArea]]. The font is noted and illustrated in the Dossier d’œuvre architecture IA80007340 | Réalisé par Guérin Inès, inventaire préliminaire, arrière-pays maritime picard: patrimoine funéraire [https://inventaire.hautsdefrance.fr/dossier/IA80007340] [accessed 28 October 2023]: "Les fonts baptismaux en pierre (calcaire taillé) [cf. supra], conservés dans le collatéral nord, proviennent de l'abbaye de Saint-Valery ; ornés de médaillons et d'une frise, ils datent du 16e siècle (vers 1540).
