The entry for this church in the German Wikipedia [https://de.wikipedia.org/wiki/St._Maria_Magdalena_(Plötzky)] [accessed 24 October 2023] reports a Romanesque baptismal font made of sandstone and decorated with an arcade ["Im Chor steht der aus der Zeit der Romanik stammende Taufstein. Der aus Sandstein gefertigte Taufstein ist mit einem romanischen Rundbogenfries verziert."] The font consists of a roughly hemispherical basin decorated with a torus-scotia below the upper rim and a band of round arch-heads below; a roll moulding adorns the top of the pedestal base and another such the bottom. No cover present.
