The entry for this monastery in the German Wikipedia [https://de.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kloster_Arendsee] [accessed 22 October 2023] reports a baptismal font with an octagonal basin probably of the Gothic period ["Der polygonale Oberteil des schlichten Taufsteins ist vermutlich ebenfalls gotisch."] [source given: Hellmut Müller: Die Klosterkirche Arendsee. 2. Auflage. Deutscher Kunstverlag, München, Berlin 1997, ohne ISBN, S. 20]. The octagonal basin has plain rounded sides around the underbowl; it retains two metal anchorings for an earlier cover at the upper rim; the octagonal base is modern. No cover present.
