The entry for this church in the German Wikipedia [https://de.wikipedia.org/wiki/St._Georg_(Morl)] [accessed 21 October 2023] reports a chalice-shaped baptismal font made of sandstone in 1528 in it ["Der Taufstein ist in Form eines Kelches aus Sandstein gearbeitet und stammt bereits aus dem Jahr 1528. "] [the source may be Dehio: Handbuch der Deutschen Kunstdenkmäler, Sachsen-Anhalt II, Regierungsbezirke Dessau und Halle. Deutscher Kunstverlag, München, Berlin 1999: Seite 573]. The font consists of a rather short cylindrical basin decorated with rectangular niches, four of which contain the date 1528, a digit in each niche; there two metal staples at the upper rim but no cover present; raised on a plain and round pedestal base, the lower base wider and its sides patterned with tiny fluting or piping.
