Site classé en 1926." -- The earlier(?) parochial church of Ste, Cecile is listed in Mérimée [ref.: IA00018016] as mentioned in the 11th century but probably destroyed in the 15th century ["Mentionnée au 11e siècle ; détruite probablement au 15e siècle"].
Font Notes:
Listed and illustrated as a baptismal font of the 16th century in Palissy [ref.: PM27001322]: "Fonts baptismaux [...] 16e siècle". Listed as a baptismal font of the 16th century in the REPERTOIRE DES MONUMENTS HISTORIQUES OBJETS MOBILIERS SITES ET MONUMENTS NATURELS classés ou inscrits aux inventaires supplémentaires dans le département de l’EURE, p. 33 [https://www.persee.fr/docAsPDF/etnor_0014-2158_1967_num_62_193_2930.pdf] [accessed 18 October 2023]. Noted in Michel Kitzis' L’église (ou les églises) de Portejoie [https://portedeseine.files.wordpress.com/2021/04/eglise-de-portejoie-par-michel-kitzis-2.pdf] [accessed 18 October 2023] as a baptismal font of the 16th century listed in 1907 ["Les fonts baptismaux, à l’entrée de l’église, datent du XVIe siècle et ont été classés en 1907." An article by Florence Carré, Le site de Portejoie (Tournedos, Val-de-Reuil, Eure), VIIe-XIVe siècles : organisation de l'espace funéraire. [The site of Portejoie (Tournedos, Val-de-Reuil, department of Eure), 7th-14th centuries : spatial organisation of the burials] in the Supplément à la Revue archéologique du centre de la France Année 1996 11 pp. 153-162 [https://www.persee.fr/doc/sracf_1159-7151_1996_act_11_1_977] [accessed 18 October 2023] suggests that Sainte Cecile was abandoned towards the early-14th century as a consquence of the erection of the church of Sainte Colombe.
