The entry for this church in Historic England [List Entry Number: 1115766] notes: "The church has pre-Conquest origins, but only loose fragments of Anglo-Saxon sculpture survive. By the C12 it had a S aisle. The SE tower is C13. The chancel was rebuilt in the late C13 and remodelled c.1320. There was some further work in the later middle ages, including widening the S aisle. The church was greatly altered in the mid C19"; there is no font mentioned in the entry which usually means the font is modern.
