[NB: we have no information on the baptismal font of the medieval church here -- some sources claim that an old Roman wine vessel inside this church has been used as baptismal font]. The entry for this church in Ardenne belge [https://www.ardennebelge.be/diffusio/fr/p/decouverte-et-divertissement/eglise-paroissiale-saint-willibrord-etalle_TFOALD-01-08H4-2E2G/] [accessed 6 October 2023] notes that the original church here was probably Carolingian, and that the church has an object of possibly Roman origin [oenochoe] later used as a vessel for baptisms ["l'examen de la maçonnerie de la tour indique 3 étapes.La base est nettement carolingienne [...] A voir également dans l'église la cuvette en bronze du baptistère placée près de la chaire de vérité et qui serait, selon H.Jacob, d'origine romaine et aurait été "l'oenochae [sic]" ou vase à contenir le vin d'une villa romaine. Elle aurait été par la suite munie de pieds." The entry for this church in Cirkwi [https://www.cirkwi.com/fr/point-interet/968000-eglise-saint-willibrord-de-vance] [accessed 6 October 2023] mentions the bronze vessel of possible Roman origin as well ["la cuvette en bronze du baptistère, probablement d'origine romaine"]. The entry for the object and its location in theis church in BALaT KIK-IRPA [https://balat.kikirpa.be/object/10048517] [accessed 5 October 2023] reads: "lavabo[liturgique], fonts baptismaux [...] fonte coulé" but it is clear that it refers to the over one meter tall cast-iron casing built into the wall, and not to the bronze vessel kept inside [cf. ImagesArea].
