Described and illustrated by Thérèse Gaigé [https://commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/File:Intérieur_de_l'église_de_Sainte-Eulalie-de-Cernon_(12)_-_17.jpg] [accessed 6 October 2023] as a baptismal font that had been re-used in the public fountain at the time of the Revolution and was later restored to the church ["une cuve baptismale qui a réintégré sa place dans l'église après avoir servi de déversoir à la fontaine depuis la Révolution"]. The font is a cylindrical tub resting directly on the ground now; it shows the scars of its re-purposing in the Revolution, and only traces of some decoration on it. No font cover. There is a modern baptismal font installed in another chapel of this church, also cylindrical, its sides decorated with large quatrefoiled medallions containing shields charged with a variety of emblems and symbols in a backrground of fleurs-de-lis; 19th-century?
