The web site of Christian Desprez, maire de Vouécourt [https://vouecourt.jimdofree.com/balade-à-pied-dans-vouécourt/] [accessed 5 October 2023] mentions a baptismal font made of cast iron in the 16th century in the church ["fonts baptismaux en fonte du XVIème siècle"]. The entry for this church in e-monument.net [https://e-monumen.net/patrimoine-monumental/benitier-eglise-vouecourt/] [accessed 5 October 2023] mentions a holy-water stoup made of cast iron with two handles made up of human heads in it ["Bénitier en forme de cloche retourné avec 2 anses représentant un visage humain. Fonte [...] diamètre 64 cm, hauteur 53 cm [...] 16ème ou 17ème siècle"]. The object appears disused, re-purposed as a flower vase.
A communication to BSI from Pol Herman (e-mail of 20 November 2022) included a reference to a YouTube video Doopfont stolp Vouecourt.WMV [https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=L1svsuwnhxY] [accessed 5 October 2023] that shows the replacement of an old wooden font cover by one made of leaded glass on the stone baptismal font; the font itself appears monolithic and made of stone, octagonal in shape with a tapering in base.
