The German Wikipedia entry for this church [https://de.wikipedia.org/wiki/Aldringen] [accessed 5 October 2023] notes and illustrates a composite baptismal font in this church; according to the source it consists of a cylindrical base that was originally a 2nd-century Roman column of "Acrostein" [arkose/arkosic sandstone] decorated with a scale pattern all around, and a plain round tapering basin; the Wikipedia entry gives "Informationen vom Peter-Stellmann-Platz in Aldringen" as source. The metal font cover is round, low-domed and has a cross finial; it appears modern.
