Church Notes: of two churches noted in Witry [Wilitreio] originally only one, the parish church of Saint-Pierre, remains; present church of 1913 replaced a 1680 church, itself a re-building of an earlier church building
The Annales de l'Institut archéologique du Luxembourg, Volume 27 (1893): 233ff, state that the origins of this church are unknown, and that it had been re-built from an earlier church in 1673. No font mentioned. The entry for this church in BALaT KIK-IRPA [https://balat.kikirpa.be/object/10084112] [accessed 3 October 2023] reports and illustrates a baptismal font made of limestone between 1901 and 1925, with a dome-shaped font cover of brass, also modern.
