The entry for this church in Wikipedia [https://de.wikipedia.org/wiki/St._Jakobus_der_Ältere_(Kirchschönbach)] [accessed 3 October 2023] reports a baptismal font of 1604 in this church; it gives "Wehner, Thomas: Realschematismus der Diözese Würzburg. S. 90." as source. The stylised font consists of a roughly hemispherical basin decorated with a ribbed pattern and bearing a date inscription; raisded on a round pedestal stem with moulded ends, and an octagonal plinth that may be a modern addition; the font is painted and has some gilded details. The round wooden font cover is modern and has a gilded orb-and-cross finial.
