Described with some measurements and illustrated in Soupis památek, ročník 03. Politický okres sedlčanský (1898) na stranách 22 [http://depositum.cz/knihovny/pamatky/strom.clanek.php?clanek=3359] [accessed 21 September 2023]; among the many decorations on the basin are several large window-like motifs, animal heads with attached rings that were presumably meant to lift and carry the font; two coat of arms, an inscription in Roman numerals with the date, etc.; it is bell-shaped, and probably made by one of the region's bell foundries; stands on three metal legs somewhat similar to those on the font at Pardubice [cf. infra]. The ca. 1898 B&W photograph in the above source shows a font cover on it, but we have no information on it, or on its present whereabouts. The entry for this church in Hrady.cz [https://www.hrady.cz/kostel-sv-vaclava-chlum] [accessed 21 September 2023] reports a baptismal font made of pewter ["Cínová křtitelnice"] in 1562 in it; the font stands on three legs have the faces of men holding their beards on the upper end, and end in animal paws with claws. The entry for this church in Turistickelisty.cz [http://www.turistickelisty.sportovnilisty.cz/pozice-1-top/kostel-sv-vaclava-je-vyraznou-dominantou-chlumu/?style=mobile] [accessed 21 September 2023] notes and illustrates the metal font here: "Cínová křtitelnice. Významnou součástí výbavy je cínová křtitelnice z roku 1562, která stojí na třech nohách v podobě vousatých mužů, držících v rukou vousy a dole zakončených zvířecími tlapami s drápy"; the same source cites Kol.,Umělecké památky Čech A/J,1.svazek Sommer Petr, Kostely na Sedlčansku and the turistickelisty.cz,foto archiv as sources.
