The Wikipedia entry for this church [https://de.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pfarrkirche_Gaming] [accessed 10 September 2023] reports a baptismal font of ca. 1500/1510 with a modern font cover bearing a Baptism of Christ finial, made by Josef Schagerl senior in 1946 ["Der Taufstein um 1500/1510 trägt einen geschnitzten Aufsatz Taufe Christi von Josef Schagerl senior (1946)" [the source given in Wikipedia is Die Kunstdenkmäler Österreichs. Dehio Niederösterreich südlich der Donau 2003. Gaming, Ortsbereich, Pfarrkirche Hll. Philipp und Jakob, Pfarrhof, S. 498–500]. The font appears monolithic, octagonal on the basin but turning round down the base sides. The wooden cover is also octagonal, with carved sides and the figural finial described above.
