The Wikipedia entry for this church [https://de.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mainberg_(Schonungen)] [accessed 14 August 2023] notes an octagonal baptismal font made of green sandstone in 1528 in this church ["der 1528 aufgestellte Taufstein, ein Achteckbecken aus grünem Sandstein"].. The font cosists of an octagonal basin with a short sides decorated with pairs of quatrefoils, and a tall plain tapering underbowl, on an octagonal stem bearing the date 1528 in black lettering, and an octagonal-to-square lower base. Low pyramidal octagonal font cover with knob handle/finial.
