The entry for this church in the Ev.-Luth. Kirchengemeinde Obereisenheim [https://www.e-kirche.de/web/obereisenheim] [accessed 14 August 2023] mentions a baptismal font dated 1523 with a font cover of 1748 with an angel and a dove as finial ["Der Taufstein trägt die Jahreszahl 1523, der Deckel mit einem Engel als Aufsatz und darüber schwebender Taube kam 1749 dazu." The baptismal font consists of a moulded octagonal basin raised on a pedestal base. The wooden font cover has an octagonal moulded platform with eight large scroll ribs on the centre of which stands and angel; the head of the angel bears the metal hook on which the cable from the ceiling ties; the dove mentioned above is part of the ceiling cable, not of the finial.
