A baptismal font was documented by Hans Ulrich Berkner in a series of photographs [https://polska-org.pl/524879,Wroclaw,Chrzcielnica.html] and a narrative web site [http://www.fritzberkner.de/taufstein-im-dom-zu-breslau/] [accessed 8 August 2023] as being in the grounds of "Domu Zarządcy", Akademii Rolniczej (PGR Swojczyce) ca. 1920-1942, where it served as a decorative planter. The object was described as a Gothic baptismal font originally from Kościół p.w. św. Jacka; it was later reported by another source as being in the cathedral at Wrocław in 2007. It consisted of an octagonal basin with deeply carved figures on the sides, all very badly damaged; one of them appears to be a scene, the Baptism of Christ; others are angels and/or unidentified scenes; at the time of Berkner's discovery [cf. supra] [i.e., 1920-1942] it was raised on an octagonal pedestal base and a square lower base, both of which appeared modern; it was later [1945+] transferred to the Archdiocesan Museum in Wrocław from where it was moved to the cathedral of that town. Recent photographs of the font [cf. ImagesArea] show the old basin raised on a modern square block of plain stone. No cover present.
