Michael Hescheler's Taufstein kehrt nach Odyssee zurück nach St. Johann article in the Schwäbische.de [https://www.schwaebische.de/regional/sigmaringen/sigmaringen/taufstein-kehrt-nach-odyssee-zurueck-nach-st-johann-773669] [accessed 6 August 2023] describes and illustrates a font that had been removed from the church in the 1960s and relegated to the outside; it was restored in 2014 and placed back in the church where it is again used for baptisms; according to the same source [cf. supra] this font had been made by Rudolf Burnitz and donated to this church by Prince Karl von Hohenzollern in 1832 [NB: we have no information on the font of the medieval church here] [For a holy-water stoup in this church originally from Reichenau cf. BSI entry for Reichenau No. 1]
