Baptismal font described and illustrated by Christy Cunniffe in Galway Community Heritage (26 January 2016) [https://field-monuments.galwaycommunityheritage.org/content/archaeology/fonts/ardrahan-baptismal-font] [accessed 31 July 2023]: "This baptismal font appears to date to the 17th century. It consists of a bowl, pedestal and base. The pedestal bears a series of round-headed arcades. This type of rounded-headed niche appears on a chimney on a seventeenth-century castle in Co. Offaly. The bowl is cushion shaped with fluted angels at the corners." The entry for this church in the National Inventory of Architectural Heritage [https://www.buildingsofireland.ie/buildings-search/building/30340003/ardrahan-church-ardrahan-north-ardrahan-galway] [accessed 31 July 2023] mentions only a "carved stone font" in it.
